Cal won five of six events on the final night of the 2020 Pac-12 Men's Swimming Championships, breaking three meet records along the way to their third straight title. Daniel Carr broke the meet record, previously held by Olympian Ryan Murphy, to win the 200 backstroke (1:37.87); Ryan Hoffer, the swimmer of the meet, topped the 100 freestyle in 41.45; Reece Whitley took the 200 breast title in 1:49.85, over three seconds ahead of the field; Singaporean Olympian Zheng Quah won the 200 fly in 1:39.15; and the Bears edged out Arizona State to pick up the 4x100 free relay title in 2:46.92, another meet record.
